A long explanation of the rejection of proposed tank design: "The...Bigley tank has been looked into by General Marshall. He reports that this vehicle has been tested by the Armored Vehicle Board...officers representing the arms of the combat services who would use the vehicle. This Board was charged with determining which of the many armored vehicles...merited further consideration. Of the 15...vehicles reviewed...13, including the Bigley tank, were eliminated....Mr. Bigley has been notified...[and] we do appreciate his interest and inventive genius in attempting to meet this particular war problem..."
