The obverse depicting Victory standing and holding a shield with a bust of Nelson and inscribed EUROPER'S HOPE AND ENGLAND'S GLORY, the whole enclosed by the legend REAR-ADMIRAL LORD NELSON OF THE NILE; the reverse with a scene of the Battle of the Nile inscribed VICTORY OF THE NILE AUGUST 1, 1798 within the legend ALMIGHTY GOD HAS BLESSED HIS MAJESTY'S ARMS, the edge stamped TRIBUTE OF REGARD FROM ALEX R. DAVISON ESQR. ST. JAMES'S SQUARE, the reverse signed M.B. SOHO and C.H. RUCHLER FEC., with gilt-metal pendant ring --1 15/16 in. (4.6 cm.) diam.
