A COVERED EWER, by Ball & Black, for Eoff & Shepard, circa 1860, of baluster form, entirely chased and engraved with architectural scenes between flower and foliate bands, the neck chased with vertical stylzied leafy band, with rusticated floral scroll handle with tri-leaf join, the short spout with applied tri-leaf and melon join, and below with vacant shaped cartouche (erasure), the partly raised hinged cover with similar band to the neck and headed by cast floral and foliate finial, all on matted ground--13¼in.
