A FRENCH NEEDLEWORK CARPET
Circa 19th century
The central lobed maize yellow lozenge enclosing a crowned monogram "A" with two Rampant lambs with omegas and rope all within a medallion surround inscribed all on a taupe field of green and saffron interlocking strap-work and within a cranberry border with a cream, saffron and blue-grey diamond lattice incorporating fleur-de-lys and leafy fronds with armorial cartouches at the corners
