A GEORGE III COFFEE-POT, maker's mark of John Swift, London, 1760, of baluster form, on circular spreading foot with gadrooned border, the body repousse and chased in the rococo manner with trailing flowers and foliage, scrolls, scalework and rocaille, one side with asymetrical cartouche engraved later with initials, the other chased with shell, the spout with conforming decoration, the partly domed hinged cover also chased and topped by fluted bud finial, with pewter scroll handle (raffia lacking)--11¼in.
