A EWER, maker's mark of Gorham, 1871, (no. 745), retailed by Shreve, Crump & Low, bulbous, with large facet hammer finish, on plain short circular foot with beaded band above, one side chased with large dragonfly above two large leaves and fronds, the other side with spider on thread amid ?bamboo foliage, with die rolled rim, short spout, the angular handle applied with insect--9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, 34oz.
