The concave wall of the box with seven animals and monsters, including a lion confronting a lioness, a sphinx confronting a leopard, and a dog confronting a stag, a griffin behind the dog; the lid with seven figures including a seated Dionysos, facing left but looking right, holding a thyrsos, a woman to his left standing next to a bench and attending to a thymiaterion, a winged Eros in added white to his right holding a tympanum, facing a standing draped woman holding a tympanun and wearing a sakkos, to her right a seated draped woman looks right towards two standing draped women, the women all wearing bracelets in added white, several plants in the field, a band of egg on the rim, a band of tongue on the underside of the rim, the lid pierced in the center, originally for a attachment of a now-missing metal loop handle
