Further details
Struck by Cotterill, Hill & Co. of Walsall, England, the so-called "side view" Halfpennies (120,000 pieces coined) and Pennies (240,000 pieces coined) of 1838-1839, were rejected by the bank due to inferior workmanship. While relatively attractive to today's collectors, the perspective of the bank building is out of true.
