Of circular form on shaped circular spreading foot, the everted sides elaborately chased with a broad band of musical putti amid foliage and scrolls on a matted ground, all within a rim of acanthus scrolls and grapevine, the center with a fluted border enclosing an engraved crest, with sea monster and acanthus-clad swing handle surmounted by a putto playing a lute, marked on side and handle -- 14¼ in. (36.2 cm.) diam.
