A GEORGE V SILVER SIX-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE, Birmingham, 1930, maker's mark of William Adams Ltd., comprising tea-kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, cream-jug and waste-bowl, each partly concave, convex, stop fluted, urn form, on short foot, with floral cornered dentilated rims, the pots with partly fluted acanthus joined spout, the hinged, partly fluted and domed covers headed by oblong wood finial, with angular wood handle; the tea-kettle with part wood foliate scroll overhead swing handle, twice chaining to the rounded rectangular stand, on four reeded tapering paw feet--height of tea-kettle on stand over handle 14¼in. (36.1cm.), gross weight 138.5oz.
