A SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA-SERVICE ON TWO-HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark of Loring Andrews Co., Cincinnati, circa 1900, comprising teapot, two-handled sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each vase-shaped, on spreading ciruclar foot chased with foliate scrolls, the entirely repousse and chased with scrolling flowering foliage and birds, centering two sides a castle, with scroll handles, the teapot with partly domed hinged cover, topped by bud finial, with long spout, all on matted ground--the teapot 10in. (25.4cm.) high; the navette-form tray on four tapering scroll feet, the center monogrammed within tied floral oval surround, the remainder engraved with diaperwork, the everted border with conforming decoration to the tea-service, with two foliate loop handles--length of tray over handles 24in. (60.9cm.), gross weight 77.5oz.
