TOYOKUNI: aiban tate-e (31.2 x 21.3 cm.); an album of forty-two sheets of standing or seated actors, some singly and some in pairs, signed Toyokuni ga, with three of the sheets additionally signed Kunihisa or Kunimitsu, and a diptych of actors and musicians on stage signed Toyokuni ga and Kuninaga ga, with an introductory page inscribed in ink with the artists' names and the date Bunka 2 (1805)- good impressions and color, some pages quite fresh, some edges creased and soiled and rubbed in corners but good condition
