3 vols., folio, 365 x 280 mm., contemporary French citron half-morocco, spines elaborately gilt-stamped and gilt lettered, uncut, minor marginal nicks to plates 44 and 78, plates 113 and 263 spotted, approximately 50 others with foxing and paper discoloration.

FIRST EDITION. Half-titles, single-leaf index and cumulative index at end of each volume, 300 engraved and stipple-engraved plates, partly color-printed and finished by hand by Duménil, Gabriel and Oudart after Jung's drawings, printed by N. Rémond.
