FIRST EDITION, second issue, with the errors due to the hasty printing of the first issue corrected and the additional quires CC-DD8 containing further plants and an index, without the quire Y.. printed later in Vienna and included in some copies, 361 full-page woodcuts. Provenance: Latin motto dated 1584 on front flyleaf -- Guilielmus Marequis of Antwerp, early inscription below, followed by -- Laurentius Beÿrlinx, Canon, Archpresbyter, and censor of the city of Antwerp, inscription dated 17 June 1624 stating that he received the book as a gift from the aforecited -- Carolae ac Mariae Lacaitae et filiorum, Selhan, Sussex, 19th-century bookplate -- Leolyn Louise Everett, bookplate -- Robert de Belder.
