AN EXTRAORDINARY MARKLIN TINPLATE FIRE SET, circa 1919, consisting of three keywind matched fire trucks, each hand painted in red, black and yellow with rubber tires, all three bear the Marklin metal embossed shield on the front panel. The fire pumper has working gears that pump water and a chain drive; the fire patrol wagon consists of an overhead ladder and hose, with seating for six fireman; the ladder truck has chain gears that extend the ladders. All three vehicles are housed in its own hand-painted tinplate curved-roof firehouse of simulated stone. (Missing small hose reel on one truck)--21 x 17 x 14, firehouse; trucks 13 in. 10½, ans 14 in.
