Supported on a plain spreading foot, carved in bold relief on both sides of the body with a wide band enclosing a pair of confronted phoenix forming a taotie mask, above a narrower band of archaistic scrolls and further pairs of phoenix, set at the tall squared neck with four lion-mask handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover with chrysanthemum bud finial, the semi-translucent stone with some areas of faint white inclusions--11 1/8in.
