A PAIR OF LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED BLACK LACQUER ENCOIGNURES
MID-18TH CENTURY, ONE STAMPED DUBOIS ONCE, THE OTHER TWICE, THE ORMOLU STRUCK WITH THE C COURONÉE POINÇON
Each with serpentine moulded brêche d'Alèp marble top above a pair of arc en arbelette cupboard doors decorated sans traverse in gilt with a watery chinoiserie landscape with figures in a pagoda, within a pierced foliate cast encadrement and separated by similarly cast banding incorporating a scrolling lockplate cast with flowerheads, the interior enclosing two shelves, the conforming leaf-tip cast banding on short cabriole legs ending in scroll sabots cast with cabochons, (each formerly fitted with an étagère)--35in. (89cm.) high, 30¼in. (77cm.) wide, 24in. (61cm.) deep
