With serpentine moulded brêche d'Alèp marble top above two long drawers inlaid sans traverse with foliate cartouches enclosing floral sprays with perched birds, the sides similarly inlaid, with scalloped apron, on splayed legs headed by foliate chutes and ending in rocaille sabots, bearing a JME stamp and marque au feu of the çhateau de Rambouillet (mounts of later date, restorations to marble)--34in.
