LOU COSTELLO
A 1929 photograph of the comedian from his vaudeville and burlesque days. In the 1920s Lou Costello worked as newsboy, fountain clerk and prizefighter before going to Hollywood. Since the only work he could get was as a laborer on the Warner and M.G.M. lots, he teamed up with Bud Abbott and formed one of the most successful comedy teams in history.
