An evening gown worn by Marilyn Monroe as husband-hunter "Pola." Co-starring Lauren Bacall and Betty Grable, the film tells the story of three girls who rent an expensive New York apartment to try and trap millionare husbands. The floor length cream gown is constructed of light wool with a silk underdress attached to the bodice, sewn with stays; a double row of embroidered silver and cream trim across the bustline and as shoulder straps, rear zipper and metal hook closures. The entire garment is embellished with an elaborate patterned silver and cream applique; the flare hem sewn with seven circular metal weights suspended from cream silk ribbons. Accompanied by a color lobby card from the film, three color publicity photographs, and three color photographs of Marilyn on the cover of various film magazines--8 x 10 in. and smaller
