A SMALL CANTON ENAMEL EUROPEAN SUBJECT BLACK-GROUND SAUCER DISH
FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY

Painted with a European figure seated beneath a tree drinking wine from one of the jars surrounding him, with European landscapes alternating with flower sprays in panels reserved on the rim, the exterior painted in blue with foliate scroll and the base with a foliate medallion in iron red--4 3/4 in. (12cm.) diam.
