A WILLIAM IV FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, London, 1833/4/5, maker's mark of the Barnard Bros., comprising teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each broadly fluted bombe, chased with matted acanthus at intervals, with foliate scroll handle, underside of base with inscription dated 1836; the pots with foliate spout, and applied floral and foliate collar, the hinged low domed cover topped by cast flower finial--the coffee pot 10.in. (25.4cm.) high, gross weight 90.5oz.
