A WILLIAM III SILVER MUG, GEORGE I TUMBLER CUP, A GEORGE II MUG, all London, the first 1695, maker's mark J S in monogram within a wreath (see Jackson, p. 140), the second 1714, marks worn; the last 1742, maker's mark of Gabriel Sleath, the first mug cylindrical, on molded rim foot, applied later with two reeded bands and rim, with scroll handle 4in. (10.1cm.) high; the tumbler cup gilt lined, on raised molded foot, the body engraved with crest--3¼in. (8.2cm.) high; the last baluster, on molded circular foot, the front engraved with coat of arms and crest within scroll and floral surround, with leaf capped scroll handle--4in. (10.1cm.) high, 25oz.
