A SILVER FLAGON, makers' marks of Gorham, 1871, and Adams Chandler & Co., the spherical body on spreading octagonal foot, with cylindrical neck and squat spout, the body two sides with circle engraved with clovers and strapwork within applied beaded bands, engraved above and below with further clover band, above engraved with later dates 1903 December First 1928, the other side monogrammed, the neck part engraved and applied with beaded band, the panelled scroll handle with foliate and paterae joins, the domed hinged cover covering spout, the rim four times applied with triangle topped by ball--14½in. (36.8cm.) high, 49.5oz.
