Urn-form, with faceted sides, a strap handle, and a canted rectangular foot, the front engraved "HM" in script above a small later inscription "Agnes McKean", marked REVERE on base--6 3/8in. high

This cream-jug is virtually identical to an example by Revere at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, illustrated in Kathryn C. Buhler, American Silver: 1655-1825 in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 1972, v. II, no. 410, p. 461.
