A SILVER TEAPOT, maker's mark of Gorham, 1883, no. 1580, the rounded square form body on circular rim foot, the mid section chased and engraved with flowerheads and foliage, the lower section chased with stemmed anthemion enclosed arcades, the upper with serrated demi flowerheads, the spot hammered neck chased with foliate or flower sprigs, with conforming hinged raised cover topped by fluted conical finial, with vine clad rusticated scroll handle, with matching spout, the underside monogrammed, and dated 1898--9in. (22.8cm.) high, gross weight 29.5oz.
