Each with square cushion seat above a panelled seat rail carved with entrelac, on circular tapering legs headed by fluted beaded capitals ending in ball toes headed by stiff leaves, upholstered in canary silk, both seat rails branded with the initials MR, with remnants of paper labels inscribed: "Palazzo Reale de Modena
