FOXE [OR FOX], LUKE. North-West Fox, or, Fox from the North-west passage. London: by B. Alsop and Tho. Favvcet 1635. Small 4to, red morocco, spine gilt, g.e., by F. Bedford, joints rubbed, the folding map with the fold at mount reinforced and a clean tear at the mount, not affecting the image, corners of fols. T4 and Kk2 repaired, slightly affecting the last letter of each catchword, a few other discreet marginal repairs including upper margin of frontispiece, lower margins of quires K, Q and Cc3 cropped, grazing 3 catchwords and a side-note, lightly washed, a few remaining minor marginal stains. FIRST EDITION, woodcut frontispiece, folding engraved circumpolar map, full-page woodcut map on fol. Ff1, with the cancel leaf u2.3 inserted between V2 and V3 as described by Sabin but paginated "172, 170, 171" and with errata on u3v as in the Church copy.
