Each stamped 'A Diane Arbus photograph', signed, titled, dated and numbered 45/50 in ink by Doon Arbus, Administrator, copyright and reproduction limitation stamps on the verso. Each approximately 15 x 15in. (38 x 38cm.) Title page with the photographer's facsimile signature, title and date. 8 with interleaving tissues with printed facsimile title and date. Plexiglass box. Number 45 from the limited edition of 50 plus five uneditioned artists proofs.

Lot Essay

A Box of Ten Photographs was in production before the death of Diane Arbus in 1971. Six portfolios in the edition of fifty were printed by the artist. The remaining portfolios in the edition of fifty were printed by Neil Selkirk. All of the images in this portfolio were shown at her widely attended retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York from November 1972-January 1973.
