A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED DRAWING
Attributed to the Durham Township Artist, Durham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, dated 1823
Centering a striped and ink-decorated urn issuing tulips and flowers above a striped plinth inscribed, "Liberty is the life of the world and tyranny is its death", flanked by scrolling vines issuing flowers, strawberries and buds, and heralded above by two spreadwing dappled and shielded eagles clutching between them an unfurled banner inscribed, "Pluribus Unium" [sic], all above a brown-striped ground inscribed, "Durham Tps., Bucks County...April the 9th 1823"
