A GROUP OF BEADED CLOTHING ACCESSORIES
Pennsylvania, second quarter 19th century
Comprising a beaded sac with red and blue wool pom-pom base, worked in red, turquoise, pink and black opaque and translucent beads in stylized leaves, chevrons and meandering vines with leaves and berries, worked in red translucent glass beads across top "I A KOB HERZOG 1846," with red silk twill ribbon stitched to top; together with a framed pair of crocheted and beaded gloves and wrist waners, the gloves worked in yellow, turquoise, red, green and dark blue opaque and translucent glass beads in stylized leaves, beaded "1838" and "MB" respectively, the waners worked in turquoise opaque glass beads in a geometric pattern, the gloves and waners centering a blue silk satin ribbon with gilt inscription, "1st Prize/Doylestown Fair/1934"
