Of shaped oval form raised on four paw feet headed by anthemion and openwork floral swags, the border chased with foliate scrolls and flowerheads, with two vase-shaped inkwells, the spreading circular feet with bead rim, the bodies chased with vertical palmettes and gadrooned rim, the domed covers with acanthus bud finial issuing from a calyx of palmettes, marked on base--8 5/8in. (21.9cm.) long
