AN AUSTRIAN FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark probably that of Eduard Friedmann, circa 1910, comprising teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl and cream jug, each slightly tapering cylindrical with tucked in base on rim foot, all decoration flat chased, the body with vertical bands below broad band of coils issuing ivy leaves, the pots with sharply upcurved spout, harp form handle, the side hinged raised cover with conforming geometric band and topped by stylized bud finial--the coffee pot 7¼in. (18.4cm.) high, the oval tray with squared corners, the border with wavy panels of conforming designs, with two angular handles--length over handles 25in. (63.5cm.), gross weight 97oz. (5)
