A VICTORIAN IRISH SILVER TEAPOT, Dublin, 1844, maker's mark probably that of John Mahoney, inverted pear shaped on spreading circular foot chased with rocaille reeds and scrolls on matted ground, the body chased and engraved with shaped panels of double flowers on matted ground, centering two sides multi scroll enclosed shaped oval cartouche, one engraved with crest, divided by acanthus leaf, with rocaille, floral and leaf decorated spout, applied leafy and shell collar, part foliate scroll handle, the hinged raised cover chased with radiating flutes topped by cast flower finial--7¾in. (19.6cm.) high, gross weight 31oz.
