A VICTORIAN SILVER TEA KETTLE STAND AND LAMP, London, 1878, maker's mark of Martin & Hall, the twice chained bullet shaped tea kettle with panelled spout with rocaille join the shoulder flat chased and engraved with shaped frieze both sides with scroll enclosed diaperwork, rocaille, flowers and plain C scrolls on matted ground, the hinged flat cover part decorated and topped by baluster finial, with fixed part raffia covered scroll handle, the circular stand on three leaf capped shell supports on stylized shell feet, the frame border pierced with scrolls and stylized shells, with applied openwork child's mask within foliate scroll and floral festoon apron between--tea kettle on stand over handle 12½in. (31.7cm.) high, gross weight 47oz.
