A VICTORIAN SILVER CLARET JUG, London, 1875, maker's mark of E., E., J. & W. Barnard, the ovoid body on molded circular foot, the body one side with a Chinese maiden pruning a tree, the other with similar maiden with fan enclosed by trelliswork, each in bucolic setting, the cylindrical neck chased with butterfly flittering about flowering branches, with tubular loop handle, the underside of the hinged flat cover with counter weight, with shaped spout--10in. (25.4cm.) high, 19oz.
