The rectangular top pierced with three circular openings and edged with a three-quarter gallery over a geometric-banded apron inlaid with rectangular flame birch reserves edged with checkered banding over a medial shelf and frieze drawer decorated with similar birch reserves, on ring-turned and tapering reeded legs--35 1/2in. high, 16 1/2in. wide, 16 1/4in. deep

The Reverend Samuel Haven was minister of the South Parish in Portsmouth, 1752-1806. The stand was purchased at a sale of Haven family property in the 19th century.
