The slender rectangular inro decorated in gold and black takamaki-e and hiramaki-e on a carmine red lacquer ground with chrysanthemum leaves and writing brushes, interior cases nashiji; fitted with a blue glass bead ojime and a wood netsuke carved as a section of a tree trunk and lacquered in black and gold takamaki-e and inlaid in coral with a beetle and flowering grasses
