London: John Daye 1570. 4to, nineteenth-century gilt-panelled calf, edges stained yellow, rebacked, title and colophon leaves laid down on heavy paper with loss to 3 letters of colophon, small repairs to first 2 leaves affecting the title border and the first line of the dedication on 2nd leaf, repair to margins of R1 with loss to headline (and a side-note?), the last 3 leaves with large marginal repairs touching the text, rust-hole to E4 with loss to a side-note, repaired tear to H2 affecting 6 lines of text. FIRST EDITION, mostly black letter, title within typographical border, 14-line and smaller woodcut initials, the first historiated, woodcut printer's device at end.
