Of rounded rectangular shape lacquer in gold on a kimpun ground with flowering chrysanthemums below a single imperial sixteen-petal chrysanthemum medallion of kinji, the interior nashiji, the rims silver and the base roiro and nashiji, signed in gold lacquer on the base as above

Lot Essay

A label on the underside of the lid of the storage box states that this piece was presented to a high official by the Emperor, Empress and Empress Dowager on May 3, 1946.
