A ZITAN THREE-TIERED FOOD BOX, TIHE
17th/18th Century
Of rectangular form, comprising a cover, a shallow upper tray and three trays, each keying into the bottom of the tray above, set on a grooved base frame with short sides and side posts, flanked by standing cloud-form spandrels, joined at the top by a humpbacked handle, the cover and sideposts with matching holes for a metal bar, the base frame corners and handle joints reinforced by plain baitong mounts, the wood an attractive purplish hue
