A SILVER EWER, maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., circa 1879, the slightly compressed spherical bowl on rim foot, issuing cylindrical neck, the body with tear drop form monogrammed cartouche, flanked by griffin, foliate scrolls, large flowerheads, and serpent on finely matted ground, the neck two sides with chased grotesque mask flanked by fruit festoons, the angular handle with overlapping graduated "foliage", with applied rim--8½in. (21.5cm.) high, 32oz.
