Xianfeng Six-Character Marks in Underglaze Blue and of the Period
Each decorated with six scrolling, flowering stems, each blossom of a different type, set between borders of petal lappets below and ruyi above, the shoulder encircled by a band of lotus sprays separated by gold shou characters and the tall neck with a band of upright petals at its base and a ruyi collar at the flaring rim, all reserved against a deep blue ground, the interior and base surrounding the white reserve of the nianhao covered in an opaque turquoise glaze
