A GROUP OF MINIATURE SATSUMA, comprised of five vases, one cylindrical with panels of figures interspersed with landscape scenes, the second moon flask painted with figures seated by a pavillion and a bird amidst blossoming cherry branches on the reverse, the sides with flowerheads and geometric symbols, the third reverse tapering painted with a panel of seated elders, the remaining two of baluster form painted with figures, most with indistinct marks--the largest moonflask vase 4¾ in. high; together with two covered vases, each painted with panels of figures--3 in. high; together with six pendants, painted with maidens, landscape scenes and flowerheads--the largest 2 in. diam.
