A CONTEMPORARY TEA BOWL, 20TH CENTURY, Attributed to KONDO YUZO (b.1902) the deep bowl set on a splayed ring foot decorated in underglaze blue with sprigs of pomegranates and a ring at the base above two rings encircling the foot, with wood storage box inscribed 'Zakuro sometsuke chavwan Yu saku', "tea bowl with pomegranates in underglaze blue by Yu[xo]" and sealed--4¾ in. diam.
