A FAMILLE ROSE SHRINE AND COVER, MID-19TH CENTURY, of elongated hexagonal form, the central facetted section decorated with panels of cranes and lotus plants, set between pierced balustrades in brown and iron red, raised on six curved ruyi-form supports joined by pierced foliate aprons also glazed in iron red and brown with gilt highlights, each leg resting atop a blue-glazed fantastic animal with red mouth and green tail, all on a plain base, the cover with matching crane and lotus decoration and with metal-bound upper rim--10 in. long
