CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE EXPORT PORCELAIN FROM THE 'NANKING CARGO' The Nanking Cargo was salvaged in 1985 by Captain Michael Hatcher. Earlier, Christie's had sold Captain Hatcher's first find 'The Hatcher Cargo', (Christie's Amersterdam, 1983/1984). The main significance of this find is the confirmation of the dating of mid 18th century Chinese porcelain forms and decorations.
