The movement with square baluster pillars, symmetrically pierced cock engraved with scrolls and fitted with coqueret, unusual polished steel repeating work with seven-step half-quarter snail , repeating on bell by depressing pendant, gilt dust cap, white enamel dial with arabic minute numerals enclosing roman chapters, later gilt hands, within a gold inner case, the pierced band engraved with scrolls and flower-heads and incorporating switch for repeating à toc, makers mark incuse MN, the outer case chased with scene of Rebecca at the well within border of scrolls and shells, 2nd quarter 18th century -- 47mm diam.
