A GOLD MOUNTED ENAMEL VERGE WATCH

The bridge cock movement with baluster pillars, bearing signature François LeBon, white enamel dial with arabic minute numerals enclosing roman chapters, gold scroll hands, the bezel of the case enhanced with landscape, the back depicting "Le Pasteur Galant" after Boucher, mid 18th century -- 48.5mm diam.

The scene on the case was painted c. 1736-39 and engraved by A. Laurent. It is also found, in reverse, on a watch in the Olivier Collection in the Louvre.
