Of baluster form, on three scroll feet terminating in rocaille and scroll decoration, the body repousse and chased with swirling flutes above rocaille, the rim with elaborate acanthus scrolls enclosing the same armorials under the lip, the wood scroll handle carved with similar swirling acanthus flutes, the hinged domed cover with similar decoration and surmounted by a flower finial, marked under base, and with English import marks for 1948--9 1/2in. (24.2cm.) high
